This year it was a proud moment for us when the awards were announced as one of our alumni student was worked for a movie which received the recognition.

Dasakriya, a Marathi movie received national award for the best Marathi Movie, best adapted screenplay, best supporting actor and we are proud that Imtiyaj Jumanalkar, an SEA alumini has worked for the movie as assistant location sound recordist.

Imtiyaj Jumanalkar has worked as an assistant to Mahavir Sabannavar, who was tasked with sync sound recording of the movie, Dashkriya. This is the third consecutive year Mahavir Sabannavar is receiving national recognition for his films and the sound recording of the movie was imperative in selecting it for the award.

The SEA Certified Professional, Imtiyaj has passed out of the institution after completing the diploma course from the academy in the year 2015. Having a keen interest for location sound recording he has started working in the field as an assistant.

While having a chat with him over phone he told that his first project was a Kannada Movie in which he assisted Abijith Unni (SEA Certified Professional and Location Sound Recordist) and later on started working in Marathi Movie Industry. Currently he has completed 5 movies 1 Kannada movie and 4 Marathi Movies.
