Aashitha is a sound engineering professional from Mangalore. Currently settled in Bengaluru she is currently working as an assistant sound engineer under the eminent music director Kiran Shankar.
She has completed her Diploma in Sound Engineering and Sound Recording from the academy.
While talking with her she told that during the course she has got the opportunity to meet some distinguished sound engineers like Tapas Nayak, Binendra Menon (Cinematographer), John Antony (Karnatriix), Gautham ND (Electro-Voice) and attended their expert sessions.
After completing the diploma course from the academy she has started her career with and currently working under Music Director Kiran Shankar for the past 8 months.
During the tenure with him she has worked for one movie which has got recently released and got good response / reviews for the same.
Aashitha had completed her engineering degree in electronics and communication before joining the diploma course in SEA. With her electronic background (B.E in Electronics and Communication) and her knowledge in sound engineering she is currently working to make an Audio Console which she was quite excited to share with us.
She told that the new project is challenging and happy to work on the project as she has got an opportunity to learn new things.
The lady sound engineer has also pointed out that when she decided to choose sound engineering as her career option many had shared negative thoughts and told that sound engineering is not for girls in an arena dominated by males.
With her dedication to learn the subject Aashitha has proved those people wrong, who shared misconception regarding sound engineering career and being a girl she has never faced any difficulties.
She has asserted that fact that Sound Engineering is a creative job and in order to be successful one should be having interest towards the subject and has to have a passion towards it.
