About the Present Job and the Industry
Talking about the career opportunities of Sound Engineers in Film Industry, he told that industry needs Sound Engineers and not just sound engineers only those with creative minds who can leverage the medium of sound in movies to entertain the masses. Film maker are talking about different subjects in their films and as sound engineer one have to adapt to different story lines and movies making styles.

Pertaining to the work and projects, Satheesh has said that first of all we have keep in mind that a movie is the brain child of a director, we have to address his ideas and portray the feelings and emotions inside the movie with appropriate use of sound.

Most of the time the film makers accompany the sound engineering team during the post production work especially during their initial projects. Sound design movie differs from one director to another and it also differs based on the story-line of a single director. If good chemistry in terms of work pattern is been developed between the Sound Engineer and the movie director then more projects from the director will be assigned to that Sound Engineer.

Each film maker has got his way of telling story and it differs from others. If a film maker feels confident about the sound engineering team and thinks that he will get what he expects, then the film maker will handover the sound department to the team without much assistance from him during the post production.

As a Sound Engineer you have to keep a rapport with the movie directors and deliver quality output.

With regard to day to day work in the studio, he said that everyday is a learning experience and we work on different projects in a single week. Satheesh said that you have to be a team player and work in a team of audio engineers and other technicians involved in the movie. The sound engineer has also said that in order to become good sound engineer in the film industry you will have to spend atleast 5 years.

Message to Sound Engineering Students
As an advice to fresh hands in sound engineering, he told that future is bright for those sound engineers who learn the basics of sound engineering and stick with it, contribute new ideas and implement it to make yourself a mark in the industry. Innovative ideas are being expected from youngsters and success depends on how effectively the person implements it.

Satheesh Babu has also told that one have to dedicate ample time to learn new things and committed efforts are required with regard to the completion of projects.

We Sound Engineering Academy wishes all success for Satheesh Babu in his career life.
