- Do not patch microphone level signals into line level jacks and vice versa. The signal will be barely audible in the first instance and will distort in the latter one.
- Do not patch input to input and output to output.
- Unless jacks are half-normaled, do not patch the output of a component back into its input else feedback will occur.
- When patching microphones make sure that fader controls are turned down.
